When the bathroom mirror is clean, it feels like the whole bathroom is clean. After all, the bathroom is the beginning of your morning and the charge of positive emotions for the whole day. The mirror emphasizes the style and decoration of the room.

The main cause of stains on the mirror is lime, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc. The mirror is one of those things in the house that can easily get dirty.

When you brush your teeth while looking in the mirror, the toothpaste splashes on the mirror and stains appear. If you want to wipe the toothpaste from the mirror, you will also stain the mirror and a fingerprint will appear. When you get drops of tap water on the mirror, you will get lime stains. When the mirror is splashed with soapy water, grease stains appear.

THE EASIEST AND MOST COMMON WAY TO CLEAN A MIRROR IS WITH CLEAN WATER AND A SPONGE AND NEWSPAPER. THIS METHOD IS SUITABLE FOR SMALL DIRT. WET THE SPONGE WITH CLEAN, FILTERED WATER AND WIPE THE MIRROR IN A CIRCULAR MOTION, REACHING EVERY CORNER. THEN TAKE OLD NEWSPAPERS AND CAREFULLY WIPE OFF THE MOISTURE IN A CIRCULAR MOTION.

Types of stains:

1. The white and cloudy stain is calcium in the tap water. That is, it is a stain of the lime component.

Everyone knows from school curriculum that lime is an alkali. Alkali is neutralized by acid.

This stain can easily be removed with citric acid, vinegar or lemon juice. Put the solution in a sprayer and spray it on the surface of the mirror, then wipe with a soft sponge or wipe it with lemon. After 5 to 10 minutes, wipe the mirror with a dry cloth. This not only removes stains but also prevents fogging.

2. Hard spots. Scaly stains are the result of hardened lime residues in the water.

These stains can’t be wiped off immediately, even with citric acid. There is a way!

After applying citric acid or vinegar, wrap it in cling film and keep it that way overnight. In the morning, the stain will soak, dissolve, and you can easily clean the mirror in the usual way for us.

Or use chemicals. But they can be toxic and are not recommended for use in closed rooms. If you have to use them, ventilate the room thoroughly.

Chemicals fall into several categories:

  • Glass and mirror cleaners are affordable and easy to clean. However, cheap products leave streaks.
  • Professional products – clean quickly and without streaks. The only disadvantage is a very high price.
  • Car cleaners can remove dirt as easily as professional cleaners. But it is not recommended using them indoors because of high toxicity.

Chemicals can cause allergic reactions, so you should use them with caution.
