How to choose a place for a toilet bowl

The best trend in recent years is multifunctional household items. The fashion has not ignored the bathroom fixtures. Today, many consumers make their choice in favor of toilets with bidet function – practical smart devices that allow to save space in the bathroom and provide comfort to users.

Among all varieties of sanitary equipment in our country bidet, perhaps, almost rarely encountered. And for good reason! Indeed, with such equipment washroom simplified many hygienic procedures for women and men – care for private areas in this case turns more convenient and thus much more effective! It is important to understand how to choose a bidet before purchase and installation – then it will bring maximum benefit and will last for many years.

The bidet toilet does not differ much from the classic toilet outwardly. But if you pay attention to the small features of the design, you can understand – this device has much more functionality than a conventional toilet.

So :

All Bio Bidet seats do not have a seat/lid that opens and closes automatically, which have a remote control. The seat will have to be raised and closed manually. But they close gently, like all bidet toilets.

If you are shopping for a bidet for the first time, take this necessary step before you buy. Ignoring this step may lead to disappointment, but later when you discover that the bio bidet seat you purchased does not fit your bathroom space.

But there is nothing complicated here, the choice of an alternative place is exactly the same.

In just a minute, you’ll know if you should choose an extended or round seat. It’s all very simple. Prepare a tape measure and follow these steps.

Step 1:

Measure the distance between the bolt holes and the distance between the centers. The minimum should be 5.5″ (127mm) inches and the maximum should be 7.5″ (178mm) inches. Anything in between is acceptable.

Step 2:

Measure the distance from the center of the bolt hole to the front end of the filter cup. If the measured value is 16″-1 /16″ inch (406-408mm) or less, select the round seat model. For any product from 16″-1 / 16″ (406-408mm) to 18-1 / 18″ (457-459mm), an extended seat can be selected.

Step 3:

Make sure the minimum clearance between the center of the bolt hole and the fuel tank is 1.5″ (25mm) inches.

At a small distance, the water tank will prevent the seat and lid from opening completely. Otherwise, you won’t be able to get the space you need at all.

Once you have the measured value, compare it to the model you are interested in and see how well it matches. The main thing is that it should fit snugly on the bowl.

Step 4:

The last step is very important!

If you have a monobloc toilet with a deep French curve connecting the water tank and toilet bowl, the bidet seat may not fit. It is likely that the back of the seat rests against the bend or the passage of the mounting hole is blocked.
