If you want warmth and don’t want to have many layers in your bed, a duvet cover is the ideal choice. A duvet cover is a blanket made up of two strips of fabric lightly woven or filled with synthetic fibers.

Many people use sealing sheets because they are lightweight and warm. Sheets instead of a blanket or duvet cover are lightweight. If you use a duvet cover that is in direct contact with your sleeping bag, make sure it has a washable cover, such as a pillowcase, to protect the pillow underneath.

A blanket should be washed once or twice a year. However, down-padded blankets should be washed much more often than sheets if they are used directly over the water surface.

The lining may be made of cotton, synthetic fiber, wool or silk and have a zipper or button so it can be wrapped over the blanket. The lining should fit snugly over the blanket so there are no kinks or knots.

This tight fit can make it difficult to put the plaid on because of its size. However, if you follow these simple instructions, the task will not be difficult and will be done quickly.

Duvet cover put on

It is very difficult to quickly tuck a comforter cover into the comforter cover: it takes a long time to find the right ends of the crumpled and tangled fabric. Sometimes this requires a good effort, unravelling all the folds of a voluminous product. If the female half successfully copes with this, the men, not wanting to burden themselves, do with one blanket, not using a cover. This approach to the design of the sleeping space eliminates the hygiene of rest.

What are the ways of tucking in a duvet cover

There are different ways to easily tuck in each type of duvet cover. Ease is achieved with frequent practice and the use of several techniques:

The standard

Is the familiar way of tucking in that each corner is inserted separately. Suitable for the cut in the middle. To make the mission easier, a blanket is placed in the center of the slit, making sure that the corners of the blanket and duvet cover match. Not a favorite method among mistresses, as the corners spread, the quilt gets tangled, and the help of another person or clamps is required, which is time consuming.

Method – “Pillowcase”

1. This method is appropriate for the seams at the bottom and sides of the duvet cover (there will be difficulty with the side seam if the quilt is large and heavy)

The duvet cover is spread out on the bed, then the duvet cover is flipped to the wrong side. Slide your hands from the inside to the corners of the duvet cover, grasp the corners of the comforter cover on the narrow side. Then pull the quilt toward you, unroll the duvet cover like a pillowcase on a pillow and shake it out. It remains to thread the two remaining corners, correct and shake the quilt.

The method – “Sausage”

2. This cunning will also work for a duvet cover with a hole in the middle, but it will be more difficult to tuck it in. Here you need to wrap the two “sausages” toward the center and unroll each one after the other.

Is a know-how from the Internet that surprises with its simplicity, ease, and has a little trickery. The duvet cover is spread on the bed with the backside out, and the quilt is placed on top. Starting with the side where there is no hole, roll it up. Holding by the corners, twist the duvet cover to put the resulting sausage on it, then unroll and shake it. This trick works for a duvet cover model with a slit at the bottom. The task is more difficult if the slit is small.

The method is “Rhombus”

3. This technique will work for models with a diamond-shaped hole in the center, you can turn both sides out, alternately putting them on the comforter cover. In this case, the duvet cover should lie with the opening facing down.

This is the method for models with a rhombus or square hole in the center. First, the duvet cover is placed on the bed, covering it with a blanket. Two corners are tucked in on the narrow side, the other half of the quilt is slipped into the hole farther away. It remains to grab the tucked corners and shake the quilt. It is also possible when half of the duvet cover is turned inside out. In this case, grasp the corners and turn them out. Then follow the same procedure as the previous method.

The “sidewall”

Method is a method in which the quilt is rolled up into a tube where the narrow side is considered the beginning. The resulting roll is inserted into the side opening of the duvet cover. The loose corners are aligned with the corners of the duvet cover and shaken. If the quilt is heavy, you can help yourself with clothespins or office clips.
